Following the successes of the conferences in 2014 ("Aesthetic Experience and Somaesthetics") and 2017 ("The Soma As the Core of Aesthetics, Ethics and Politics") which drew over twenty participants in both cases from across the globe and resulted in papers already published in Pragmatism Today and others soon to be published in a forthcoming volume with Brill, our new conference seeks to broaden the conversation of somaesthetics by engaging not only aesthetics but also the other fields of culture.

CALL FOR PAPERS

The Hungarian Philosophical Association, the University of Szeged and the Pro Philosophia Szegediensi Foundation is organizing an international conference on "Somaesthetics: Between the Human Body and Beyond".

Keynote speaker: Prof. Richard Shusterman

Experts, teachers, and researchers in the fields of aesthetics, arts, philosophy, ethics, life sciences, social sciences, and politics are invited to submit papers for the international conference which will take place in Szeged (Hungary) on May 14-16th, 2018.

Deadline for submitting abstracts is January 15, 2018.

Standard papers, as well as poster and electronic presentations, are possible. The official language of the conference is English.

An ISBN publication with all accepted papers will be produced.
