The ASA Pacific Division is pleased to announce that the 2025 Meeting will be held at the Graduate Berkeley Hotel March 7-8, 2025.

KIVY SPEAKER (Keynote address): Carolyn Korsmeyer, past-President of the ASA, Professor Emerita of Philosophy at the University of Buffalo, and author will present the keynote address, "(Real) Backtalk from (Fictional) Characters. "

 



Registration:  The Pacific division of the ASA is pleased to offer free registration to full-time students and those without a full-time academic or professional appointment, excluding retirees, who are not on the 2025 program as a presenter, commentator, or session chair. Registration is still required:

  • To register for the Audience-only waiver: send an email to secretary-treasurer@aesthetics-online.org with your name, email, and institutional affiliation (if any).
  • All others should register by clicking the red REGISTER button in the upper portion of this page.

Early Bird (Deadline February 24):

  • Regular: $160
  • Full-time Student/Unemployed*: Program Participants: $80
  • Full-Time Student/Unemployed: Audience-only (waived)

Regular (After February 24)

    • Regular: $220
    • Full-Time Student/Unemployed*: Program Participants: $100
    • Full-Time Student/Unemployed: Audience-only (waived)

    *Unemployed: those without a full-time academic or professional appointment, excluding retirees.

     



    LODGING: At this time, the date to book discounted rooms at the ASA conference rate has passed. You can, however, book rooms at the conference hotel at the regular rates through their website - Graduate by Hilton Berkeley - as long as there is availability.

    • BART and city bus

    • Take BART from SFO ($11.90) or Oakland Airport ($10.70) to the Downtown Berkeley Station
    • Walk one block south to Shattuck and Allston.
    • Board a southbound bus: #51B or 79
    • Bus fares:  $2.50 adult  (cash or Clipper Card)
    • RETURN to BART and SFO/Oakland
    • Walk one block north on Bowditch to Bancroft Way
    • Westbound bus #51B or #52 to Downtown Berkeley BART station
    • Vans and taxis
    • Taxi fare from SFO: $85 (est)
    • Taxi fare from Oakland airport: $60 (est)
    • Car Service (up to 3): $160

     



    The Pacific Division is also raising funds to provide additional travel grants for people with accepted papers or panel presentations who do not have institutional travel support. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. To donate, click  here.
