Xhignesse Named Co-Editor of ASA Newsletter

The American Society for Aesthetics is pleased to announce that Michel-Antoine Xhignesse has been named co-editor of the ASA Newsletter.

Selected by an ASA review committee from among nine well-qualified applicants, he will hold a three-year term commencing February 1, 2018. Shelby Moser continues as the other Newsletter Co-editor.

Xhignesse, currrently in residence at the University of British Columbia, holds a two-year SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. He served as Managing Editor of ASAGE (the ASA Graduate E-journal) from 2014-16 and has been a frequent participant at ASA Annual and Divisional Meetings. 

Xhignesse holds a PhD in Philosophy from McGill University, where his dissertation was directed by David Davies, Michael Blome-Tillmann, and Sherri Irvin. He also holds an MA in Philosophy from Queen's University, where his thesis was supervised by Deborah Knight. His BA is from Mount Allison University.
