The American Society for Aesthetic's new Respectful Behavior Committee has proposed revisions in the ASA Policies on Discrimination, Harassment, and Respectful Behavior. The Board of Trustees has reviewed these and now invites comments and suggestions from the membership.

Please send your comments to (a special e-mail account administered by three trustees) no later than May 11, 2019. The trustees will compile responses and share with the entire board, including the comments in their entirety and the names of submitters. The Board of Trustees will determine whether to make further revisions in the Policy based on your suggestions and then will vote on whether to adopt this policy.

The proposed revised policy can be found here:

The current policy (adopted July 23, 2018) is on the ASA web site under ASA==>ASA Policies:

The current policy remains in effect until such time as the proposed revised policy is approved by the Board of Trustees. ASA members will be notified at that time.
