CFP Announced for 79th Annual Meeting in 2021 in Montreal

The ASA announces a Preliminary Call for Papers for the 79th Annual Meeting to be held Nov. 17 – 20, 2021, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Montreal, Canada. Please note the Submission deadline: March 1, 2021 The program committee, chaired by Sonia Sedivy, University of Toronto, invites papers on any topic in aesthetics and encourage proposals for panels, author-meets-critics, or other special sessions. A more detailed Call for Papers will follow in the fall. Papers and proposals from traditionally underrepresented groups (including women, racial minorities, and persons with disabilities, among others) are encouraged. Papers should not exceed 3,000 words, should be accompanied by a 100-word abstract, and must be prepared for anonymous review. Panel proposals must include a general description of the topic or theme, the names and affiliations of all proposed participants, and a long abstract (approximately 1000 words) for each of the presentations. The abstract should articulate the thesis and central argument(s) of the talk. Volunteers to serve as session chairs and commentators are welcome.
