Call for papers for ASA sessions at APA meetings

The American Society for Aesthetics announces calls for papers for the ASA-sponsored sessions at the 2025 Eastern and Central APA meetings:

Eastern APA 2025: ASA Session (January 8-11, New York City)

The ASA invites submissions for presentations (approximately 15-20 minutes). Any topic in aesthetics or philosophy of art, broadly construed, will be considered. You do not need to be a member of the ASA to submit a proposal, however preference will be given to current ASA members. Please note that every attendee must be an active member of the APA and register for the conference through the APA website. The APA requires that all presentations be in-person, unless virtual presentation is essential for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Submission Procedure: Please submit either: (1) a 500-word abstract, or (2) a full paper (approx. 3000 words). Materials should be submitted in Microsoft Word or PDF format to ASA representative David Friedell (friedeld@union.edu) on or before June 1, 2024.

Please make the subject of your email: ASA Eastern APA 2025

Central APA 2025: ASA Session (February 20-March 1, Virtual)

The ASA invites submissions for presentations (approximately 15-20 minutes) at the 2025 (all virtual) APA. Any topic in aesthetics or philosophy of art, broadly construed, will be considered. You do not need to be a member of the ASA to submit a proposal, however preference will be given to current ASA members. Please note that every attendee must be an active member of the APA and register for the conference through the APA website. The 2025 Central APA is an entirely virtual meeting, so all presentations will be virtual.

Submission Procedure: Please submit either: (1) a 500-word abstract, or (2) a full paper (approx. 3000 words). Materials should be submitted in Microsoft Word or PDF format to ASA representative Sean T. Murphy (seanmurphy@suu.edu or sean.t.murphy.phil@gmail.com ) by September 5, 2024.
