Chayes and Friends Travel Grants Announced for Annual Meeting

The American Society for Aesthetics announces eleven travel grants to present work at the 82nd ASA Annual Meeting in Chicago, October 23-26, 2024.

Six presenters are receiving Irene H. Chayes Travel Grants: Jacopo Frascaroli, Joseph Kassman-Tod, Irene Martinez Marin, Nathan L. Smith, Rossen Ventzislavov, and Ke Zhang.

Five presenters are receiving Friends of the ASA Travel Grants: Claire Ascomb, Alice Barale, Raphael Milliere, Michaela Manson, and Jacqueline Taylor. 

The travel grants are for persons without institutional travel support presenting paper or panel presentations. Funding for the Irene H. Chayes grants is provided by a bequest from Irene H. Chayes. Funds for the Friends of the ASA grants were provided by donations from ASA members. In all, 16 eligible presenters requested travel support, but funding was available for only 11 in total. Priority is given to persons who have not received one in the past.

36 Irene H. Chayes grants have been awarded since 2018. Seventeen Friends of ASA grants have been awarded since 2021. Donations are welcome at any time to the Friends and are fully tax deductible to the extent provided for under law. Donations may be made on-line here.
